The main character of this story is a female war vetern who is just returning after 10 years in the war. She struggles to over come PTSD while juggling a family business. There are many unexpected twists and turns with the people in her life. It is a well written story that provides a very small look into the struggles our veterns face when returning to civilian life. I'm ready to read book #2!

This book was an interesting read with some information about France shortly after WWII. The main character is a grown man now but much of the book is about his time as a 6-8 year old boy in the years after the war. He was mute after a traumatic experience at the end of the war; reading things from that view was interesting. I found the reflections of a 6 yr old boy to be a bit wise for his years but maybe that was because of his experiences. There was one point in the book where, as a teenager, he becomes a gang member and the language and behavior during that time is a bit crude and rough. Overall, the book ends okay and the mystery of the painting is finally solved!

This was my first book by this author, but it won't be my last. Just enough mystery to keep you guessing with a bit of romance. The author has a way with words; you feel like you are actually looking at the mansion and the gardens as you read.

This book was fun to read. It starts out with a scene that is truly an attention grabber and it just got better and better as the book progressed. Christian book with just the right amout of faith woven into the plot. In this book, you think you know who the villian is but in the end there is so much more revealed. You end up thinking "Wow! I guess it all does relate. I never saw that one coming!"

This book was interesting in the fact that it covers the experience of a women who finds out that her twin baby did not die shortly after birth. Throughout the book someone is chasing her trying to find something she doesn't know she has. The villian was a total surprise. Good christian book that tells the story of two unlikely people that fall in love even though numerous obstacles stand in their way!

This is the first book I have read by this author and it will not be my last! My sister, who does not usually read christian books, brought me the book before returning it to our local library. I could hardly put it down! I learned quite a bit about non-conventional medical practices during this time period. I will be reading more books by this author!

This was a wonderful romantic story. Within the first two paragraphs I was hooked! The story is presented in a unique way as most of the text is e-mails that are exchanged between the two main characters. There is just a twist of mystery as well. I loved the strong family dynamics that were presented. It made you want to be part of the family! The writing style flows well and is easy to read as well as relate to the characters. This story touches on how pushy males and insensitive teens can impact a girl's self esteem. The story is clean, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to a teen girl.

Can't wait to read the second book in the series!

This bood is an excellent continuation of the Morrison Family. There is suspicion and intrigue. A little bit more is revealed about the relationship between the adopted Ben and his biological sister. Just enough to keep you wondering...

There were several surprising twists as you learn a little more about KC's family and discover a surprising talent about Ben's biological sister.

You have to laugh a the SEAL's reaction to his loved one being quarantined for a few days. Oh, the male mind is a wonderful thing! :)

Great book!

One was married to a doctor but he has divorced her leaving her in financial straits. The other woman's husband is loosing his job and her son has returned to live at home. The women get creative in responding to their financial challenges....one even finds love in the process! Clean well written book; your teen age daughter could read it without blushing!
