Very Preachy and I could not stand the main character Grace. She drove me crazy. I am glad to rid myself of this book. It was thought provoking, the characters had good development, but the author had me very confused by the end of the book. I couldn't tell if she was for or agianst the things she "preached" about during the book.
And I also felt sorry for Grace's dad, she treated him horrible. She acted like a spoiled brat even though it was clear she was not one.

This book is one of my favorite Lori Wick books. I have many of her books. This one and Sophia's Heart are my all time favorite stories. They are both great reads.

What an amazing story of such a strong and brave woman.
This book is well writen and full of information. It is easy to understand. Its an easy read that you wont want to put down.

My kids love this cookbook. There are some creative cakes, fun desserts, snacks, and other recipes including holiday ideas. Our favorite is the purple cow recipe which is a smoothie made with yogurt and grape juice (we modify it a bit). A lot of the recipes you have probably seem before but you get full page color photos. Its a great cookbook and I recommend it for any young budding chef in the family, and parents will get some new ideas also. I wont be giving up my copy of this cookbook any time soon! And my kids are tw/teens.

The characters were interesting, and the author did an awesome job at keeping the details straight. There are twists and lots of science fiction going on, (as well as weird names I could not get past). There is some cloning going on, bad guys, and just plain weird characters (enforcers). You can feel the thrills and they keep you on the edge of your seat (or page). So, if you like sci-fi this could be the book for you. I hear this author is awesome in the sci-fi world. And I would say she is to those that are interested in this kind of story line. (copied from my full review on my blog)

The book is well written and hard hitting. It is easy to read and keeps you captivated. The book may help you answer the question "Who are your kids role models?". I know I am in a constant battle over what music our family listens to, especially the girls. They like old 70-80's rock, the stuff I grew up listening to. I can see now that I didn't have a clue what they were singing about, but I do now. I am stricter than my husband on music but he is coming around.
One of the quotes in the book is from Marylin Manson
"Raise your kids better or I'll be raising them for you."
Do you ever get the feeling that something isn't right, didn't sound right, and you just couldn't put your finger on it? This book will help with that also. You know someone said something on TV and God's Holy Spirit tells you its not right. Do you ignore it or go to God in prayer about it?
How about some of the famous preachers, evangelists, and so on. Are they teaching truth or a watered down version of the gospel that fits what they want to accomplish (like justifying their own actions, selling us garbage for a donation that only makes their pockets fatter, etc.)
Some of the subjects you will read about are Sarah Palin, Joel Olsteen, Rick Warren, Acorn, Islam, Liberals, Abortion, the Media, Environmentalism, Dr.Oz, etc. The list goes on.
Some questions I often wonder is why do we learn things about people, musicians, hollywood, etc. but continue to watch them, listen to them, give money to them, shop at establishments that are anti-christian, anti-moral values, etc. Maybe this book will help you see the truth and change your habits.
I love the authors use of "Cotton Candy Christianity". That really sums up our churches today.
We know from Revelation that the "stuff" is about to hit the fan, but this book shows you its already hitting and he brings the "stuff" to prove it. He didn't make this stuff up, its well documented all over the internet, magazines, books, media, all kinds of places you can find this information out. He is not the only one sharing but it could be the only book you read about these topics.

I picked up this book at Joannes Fabric. It has beautiful shawls and wraps. There are a lot of patterns, 20. Full color photos. Just Beautiful.

I tried to go into this book with a somewhat open mind. I am still on the fence about âChristian Vampireâ books. I would say there will be lots of Christians staying away from this book (a Christian Vampire Book.)
I finally got into the book at the end of Chapter 8. Then I was hooked. I stayed up till about 2am reading this book. I had to force myself to put it down. It took 2 days to finish it because I do have other things to do! LOL! I found the story line to be a good one. You can't beat an overcomer in a story.
There are a few things that some people would find offensive. There were a few instances of sexual talk as in âbeddingâ and âsloppy advancesâ. They were not mentioned in a graphic way. There is a bit of supernatural things going on, and not a Godly supernatural. There is talk of alcohol and people being drunk or drinking. But that is what this book is about.
So over all, I went into to this book not knowing and expecting to not like it. But I came out loving it. It was nice to read a book that wasn't all âgoody too shoesâ. I am really bored with reading those âoh so sweetâ stories with no action or adventure. This book offers those intriguing situations that are not boring. I tend to go with books that are historical, which might include immortal knights or what ever. Vampires fit into that sci-fi historical theme. But this book is set in today's time.
I give it 4 stars because I did think it started off slow.

I must say right up front that if you took out all the âTwilightâ references, the author would still have an awesome book with great âlove helpâ. She just uses the Twilight books and movie as perfect examples of what true love is or is not. And she nailed it.
She points out the differences between healthy love (God) and unhealthy love and relationships (Bella and Edwards love). It took me a while to watch the movie in the first place. But after reading this book, it really brought some things to my attention. I could see exactly what the author was talking about. I could really see how a young lady would think that âthis is what true love looks likeâ when in truth, it's just a game of manipulation (in my personal opinion).
Even if you have not watched the movie or read the book(s), you can read this book and get so much information about God's love and how he meant for us to share our love with a spouse. So if you want a short read on God's love, then try this book out.

Not for the Christian Home schooler, or the conservative Christian. The views in the book are anti-Christian, she even writes a whole chapter on it.
Hated this book so much I trashed it.
I actually purchased it through a Christian homeschool website. They had so many complaints, they pulled it after realizing its anti-christian theme.
There were some good ideas, but not worth reading the whole book for. You can find other Christian homeschool or unschooling books elsewhere.
The lady doesn't even believe in teaching manners to her child. And she only has one child. I don't think her idea's would have worked in a home with several children. Most of us don't live in a home with just one "perfect compliant" child. We live in the real world with children with different personalities who react in different ways to different things, not all the same.
I could go on. I actually wrote a very long review on this book several years ago but its gone now as that website is gone. It was very detailed, with quotes from the book.
Just my 2 cents. CHRISTIANS BEWARE!
