The Outlander series, by Diana Gabaldon, is my all time favorite read. I'm thrilled to be able to collect the entire series in hardcover here at paperback swap. This is one of the only authors/series that I'm happy to re-read again and again. If you're looking for a get away read, one that's not quick to end, this is the series. Very historical and detailed, but the best part is that once you finish one.....the next is there to continue the story. After reading these books, the characters get to feeling like old friends. Not a quick read, by any means, but well worth the reading time!

I do love the concept of meditative knitting. Some of the projects look very doable and fun.

The story started out really slow, but I'm glad I stuck with it. Turned out to be one of the best books I've read in a long time.

A nice story all in all and an easy read. Didn't care for the style of writing, back and forth with bits of pieces on each character. In the end, the stories are all told and it does give your a lot to think about, as there are many emotional issues covered.
