I really enjoyed Alice Sebold's first 2 books, Lucky and The Lovely Bones, but I have to say that I was very disappointed in this one. I found the book disturbing, and although her previous 2 books also had disturbing topics, the lead characters were likable. This was not the case with this book. I found it very hard to like the lead character. I felt this book was a let down after the first 2.
