LOVED this book! It got bogged down a bit here and there is technical terms but overall, the story was quite well done. The ant attacks were gruesome but I imagine that would be so in real life. The story line between the characters was well done, too. I itched and twitched throughout the whole book, imagining ants crawling on me - the sign of a good book. I recommend this book if you're into apocalyptic stories like this.

Loved the book! It's a great combination of "Amish" and "medical" stories rolled into one. Naturally, it has a feel-goodness about it, too. Alot of research went into this book as alot of what was written, from a medical standpoint, is quite factual. Definitely worth your time to read it.

Second story in a series of three, it was really sweet. Being as it's a Love Inspired" historical, it has religous overtones but not in a preachy manner. The heroine is Norwegian, as am I, so I enjoyed that part of it!

LOVED this book! I was dubious of the time period, 1919, but it turned out waaay better than I thought. Excellent plot, etc. I highly recommend this book! :0)

LOVED this book. The fact that it's written by a Reno, NV author and I live in Reno probably has something to do with it. I think she only wrote 3 books, one of which took place in Lake Tahoe. One of her books, I know the 'exact' house/location she wrote of. She's also a client of my hairdresser. Anyhow, the books are very well written, suspenseful and most importantly, are credible. It's definitely worth reading.

LOVED this book! It was an unusual theme for a Harlequin but very well done. Nothing like vampires and cowboys! In fact, I had nightmares from this book but wouldn't have missed reading it.

I had not heard of this book until I read about it in the Costco magazine. I ordered it here on PBS and it arrived this morning in the mail. Now, at 8:30pm the same date, I've finished it. It was incredible. I think the author did amazing at weaving the facts about the orphan trains into a story that was believable and compelling. One of the better books I've read! It shouldn't be missed.

I thought this was a very sweet book. The theme was interesting and the "mystery" was good. I was totally surprised at "who done it." It's my opinion that this story would appeal mostly to women tho. I don't see it as a guy's type of book. It's an easy read, believable and not too convoluted. I read it in about 2 - 2 1/2 hrs...an enjoyable weekend afternoon. It's worth your while. Definitely better to get it on PBS because it's quite expensive to purchase online, where it's only available from.

I'm a big fan of Linda Lael Miller...have even met her. She's a super nice lady. I've read almost everything she's ever written. While I liked this book, I was somewhat disappointed. It was kind of "pat" - typical rich man/poor woman story. Predictable (but what romances aren't)and it seemed to drag on for a long time. I think it could have been condensed and been a monthly romance instead of almost 400 pages. I was very irritated with Marva but LOVED what she did in the end!! It was hilarious and just the "shocker" this story needed. I don't want to spoil it so I won't say what happened, but it was great! All in all, I will still recommend the book. It was good just not the absolute best that LLM usually writes.

Debbie Macomber never fails. She is a wonderful writer and I get totally mesmerized by her books. However! this was, as beautifully as it was written, so sad and made me cry so hard! I honestly wish I had skipped this one. I purposely skipped all her Blossom Street books, the ones about cancer and survivors (or not!), etc. This fit right in with those. I honestly felt as if I personally lost a loved one to cancer. It was a good love story, good for the rest of the family. If only the Harper hadn't died, I would give it a raving, 2 thumbs up! Aw, actually, it still gets 2 thumbs up but I sure could have done without all the crying.

Surprisingly unusual content. I loved the twists, even tho I figured it out soon. It's definitely worth reading.

I really liked this book. It wasn't too preachy yet had good gospel insights. The storyline was believable and sweet. I would highly recommend this book to anyone. Defintely worth reading.

I absolutely adore Linda Lael Miller. I've read almost every book she's written. That being said, this was not my favorite book. It was kinda "meh" - very wordy, not alot of action. Don't get me wrong, it was well written-researched well, etc. I've been to Gettysburg several times and I could totally envision the scenes. I guess I was just bored with it. I used it to read before going to sleep each night. I'm sure it will appeal to the vast majority of readers out there. Don't not read it based on my review, just be aware.
