LOVE LOVE LOVE this book!!!!
If you are a fan of Glenn Beck's radio or TV show you will enjoy this book. It is like a book version of his show.
It is informative and enlightening but entertaining and irreverant at times....just like his show. It is witty with thought provoking perspective.
Additionally the book is colorful with a lot of side tab facts, quotes, cartoons, etc.
I wish I could rate it higher than 5 stars!

Very disappointing! As someone who adores the Jane Austen story "Pride and Prejudice" I felt this book did not stay true to Ms. Austen's story or characters. This I was willing to overlook until the subplot revolving around the characters and witchcraft and a spell that are in no way believable and distract from the story.

Elizabeth Mansfield never disappoints! Great Regency romance. Enjoyed that the hero was an older man with a full grown son, not something that is the norm. And the ending is excellent.

Only 1/2 star...awful!
Beware, no where in the synopsis does it tell you that for 90% of this book the Earl is some sort of spirit (not dead, not alive, weird) that only the heroine can see and she is trying to help him... it was soooo bad that I skipped over a vast majority of it to read the ending... If you like historical romances that are farfetched and totally unrealistic then you will like this, otherwise don't waste your credit.

HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!
Sounded so good from the synopsis...however....
Bulk of story involves the hero and heroine's long friendship since childhood, no romance at all or any sign of the hero being interested in the heroine...then once this drags on for TOOOOOOOOOOO long (90% of the book!) the author ties up the "romance" in about 10-15 pages. TOOOO abrupt and unrealistic. I did enjoy how the heroine's character developed, but it was too little too late...
I love historical romance....First time I've read this author, won't read another of her books.

Well worth the wait...definitely a keeper!
The story between Charlotte and the Earl is interesting and a page turner. I did not expect to like the hero as in Parker's first book "At the Bride Hunt Ball" he comes across as a rake and unlikable. However, it is all a ruse to cover his true feelings. The Earl has loved Charlotte for years but does not feel worthy of her...in a twist of fate they end up believing they are married. It has the typical happy ever after ending, very gratifying.

Cute story, clever plot! Very enjoyable romance between the hero and heroine. Excellent writing by the author, clever plot revolving around the 12 days of Christmas... Enjoyable quick read. Would read more by this author and recommend this book.

I did not like this book...the premise is unique but the writing is subpar. She does not interweave the character's faith into the story and it seems forced and obvious. It was just annoying to read. Additionally, her writing style is very stilted and abrupt. I was disappointed in this author.
