This book was my first by this author, and even though it was decent, I just wasn't very excited about it. Typical horror cliches can be found in this book. I think the only thing that scared me about this was my fear of goats(childhood incident that traumatized me). There are some scenes with goats and other farm animals and that bothered me/creeped me out more than anything. Decent book, but not my cup of tea.

This was one of those books that started out kinda slow, but once it got going, it was very good. It took me a while to finish it, though, because it just didn't have enough of that King feel to it. A bit alien, a bit supernatural, a bit creepy. Buick Roadmaster sitting in state police barracks shed becomes a portal to another world...? dimension...? Interesting plot, definitely different. Just a bit slow in spots.

This book was so boring I could barely finish it. I forced myself to, in hopes of a decent ending, but it's so slow and there's nothing even remotely scary about it. Waste of time.
