It was enjoyable - the chief character was a woman - and the setting was SF.

Altho they promise candy recipes - they hide them in the back of the book so you are salivating as you are reading! One way to keep the book in good condition. This is about a person who has had some rough spots in her life - returns to her home and inherits her aunt's candy store. And then she spends more time hunting down a killer than running the candy store - even tho there appear to be some income issues. Run of the mill - not outstanding - but enjoyable for a quickie mindless read!

Yes - I am hooked on CSI. But only the original Las Vegas one and I must admit I preferred the beginning stories to the recent - the ones where they would graphically show the damage caused by the bullet or knife, etc. So of ocurse I had to read this one...I am a Kay Scarpetta fan also. Very interesting story line - and very interesting authors - Jefferson Bass is a team, one of whom (Dr. Bill Blass) actually founded the Body Farm at the University of Tennesee's Anthorpology Research Facility. So this was almost a must read!

Not my usual genre - truly a horror story. But one that I could not put down without finishing. I think I will skip the movie tho when it is made...only becuase I dont want to see the monster beyond what my mind's eye has already seen.

I have always enjoyed this series - but have to admit I did not enjoy this one as much. Maybe I was not in the mood to read it? Maybe I am tired of the series? It was written in the same format (silliness) and had recipes in it like they always do.

Interesting book - enough that I want to read more by this author! I definitely did not guess the ending, altho I did figure out one of the subplots (I dont read in order to try and guess the ending - it jsut happens sometimes!). This is a book about an old missing persons case and how it finally comes to light due to land developement!

Although it is interesting - the writing is a bit "cutesy" and got on my nerves. It was very distracting - but I read the whole thing anyway!

I started reading Penny Warners books becuase they are mystery - with a female lead - and Ms. Warner is from the area I live in. They are easy reads - interesting also - with some solid information about deafness. Unfortunately I cannot say these are the best books I have ever read - but I still enjoy them!
