The Ancient Giants Who Ruled America: The Missing Skeletons and the Great Smithsonian Cover-Up
Review Date: 3/11/2017

I was looking forward to reading this book. When I finally got hold of a copy, I was thoroughly disappointed! What could have been an interesting read, was reduced to a collection of newspaper articles reproduced verbatim. Apparently, the author could not even be bothered to editorialize the articles, much less offer additional details outside of those presented in the articles. This resulted in a very boring, clinical read. On top of that, the text that was presented in the authors own words was disjointed, disorganized and completely uninteresting. Then you have illustrations and photographs printed with absolutely no textual context. Several that I saw would have been interesting had there been any accompanying description other than the small blurb that served as a caption.

Sadly, save your money. This one is not worth it.

Sams Teach Yourself C for Linux Programming in 21 Days
Review Date: 10/14/2012

This book does what it promises. While I am adept at higher-level languages such as the various variants of BASIC, low-level languages such as C are harder to learn. This book made (most) of the concepts easily understandable. I don't think that any knowledge of programming at all is necessary, as this book takes you step by step from the very beginning on to the more advanced topics.

Whether you are a beginner or just need a refresher course, I highly recommend this book.

This is the absolute BEST book/movie ever written! I own three different copies of this book and I have the movie on Laserdisc, DVD and VHS! Reading this, you can almost imagine the events taking place now. Truly a timeless masterpiece.

This is the book that got me started reading Koontz. My aunt sent it to me in the mail and I've bought every Dean Koontz book that I could find ever since!
