Charlotte is the oldest daughter from the book "Yankee Wife". I actually read "Taming Charlotte" before I read "Yankee Wife" because I didn't know of the connection. It didn't really matter, they are both good.

Brigham needs a wife and his 2 daughters need a new mother. His brother brings home Lydia for him. They have a lot of conflict between them. It's a good story and if you want to find out what happens with the oldest daugher Charlotte, you will need to follow up with "Taming Charlotte".
