Caregivers are under rated and under appreciated members of society whose own sanity is hanging by a thread due to the stress in their lives. If you know someone in a similar situation, find ways to let them know you care about them. They need a reprieve and will call you blessed.

One day's reading. Every woman's fantasy of a love returning to her life and being the best relationship she could have ever imagined. Like dancing with Patrick Swayze in Dirty Dancing.

Not really knowing a lot about Nelson Mandela, I found this book a real education by looking at the man he has become. I can easily understand why he is so revered around the world. The lessons he uses to deal with people are ones we all can put to good use. I have learned to admire this man greatly through this simple guide to getting along with others.

Miracle on the Hudson: The Survivors of Flight 1549 Tell Their Extraordinary Stories of Courage, Faith, and Determination

Minute by minute lesson on survival. Made me wonder if I would rise to the occasion or be a hindrance to others should I ever find myself in the same circumstance. My admiration goes out to those could calmly follow instructions. I would always want to fly with Capt. Sullenberger as my pilot.

Shattered: Struck Down, But Not Destroyed

This book surprised me that it was well written and interesting, not syrupy sweet. It had points to make about living and living for God that were constructive. With God's help, a man from a very disfunctional family, became someone you would be proud to know and call your friend. Very worthwhile reading.

5 stars. Beautifully written essays of how our touch affects other people whether it is a tender smile, a gentle gesture, a kind word, or warm embrace. Or does our touch stifle, injure, or beat down. Self-examination of how we treat others stives to make you a better, more thoughtful, person. Excellent book to gift to others.
