Aces High Annual No.1 collects all five issues from the EC/ Cochran series. With the introduction of the Comic-Code (1955), horror & crime titles were no longer permitted & EC countered with a range of unusual/ alternative New-Direction titles. Aces High concentrated on epic tales of the flying aces, who operated over the WWI battlefields of war torn northern France. The covers & lead stories were provided by George Evans, whose intricate style was particularly well suited. He was joined by Berni Krigstein, Jack Davis & Wally Wood. A convenient way to read and keep EC's war classics. Full Colour reprint by Gemstone Publishing. Authors include George Evans, Berni Krigstein, Jack Davis, and Wally Wood.
