Somewhat implausible the way these 4 women can manage to get together for discussions so frequently with everything else that's going on in their lives! Also, I found Melissa Leo's narration to be irritatingly melodramatic on First To Die and this member of Patterson's Women's Murder Club Series. I'll stick to paper books if I decide to read any more of them.

Don't be put off by the original publish date of this book (1952). Dr. Ginott's suggestions are humane and effective to the present day. A true inspiration.

I love Ann Rule's style of writing. She is so skilled at blending setting, background, and common occurrences into her true crime accounts.

I get no end of inspiration from this book. Its clear directions and appealing photos make me want to make and do all kinds of things, not just on new store-boughts but on things I've made from scratch or bought used. The techniques in here can be applied to so many things that you come across all the time. There is a world of space for making your own creative adjustments. It's a great feeling to make something better-than-new from something(s) that were so-so. If there ever was a craft-clothing-gift book that really delivered, this is it.

Fascinating depiction of period life. Rich in detail. The movie was good, too, but glad I read the book first.

I thought this was going to be funny - something my young granddaughters would enjoy. It's not. The "jokes" are cruel, sadistic: place a match carefully between the toes of your sleeping cat, then light it and watch the fun. I can't wait to destroy this book.
