Enjoy this series. An ongoing space soap opera with likeable characters. Good versus evil plot scenarios, with good on the winning side. Lots of smart and capable people putting their minds together to fix problems.

This book has been made into a weekly post-apocalyptic television drama on TNT. The updated TV version substitutes the nuclear disaster with a global pandemic which wipes out eighty percent of the planet's population. Very well done and a much more hopeful scenario than the original book.

Good plot, strong characters but only a third of a book. I enjoyed the story up until the last page. There is no ending as the story carries over into the next installments: The Elite and The One. Would have given a four star review but am a firm believer that a story in a book should have a beginning, middle and ending - not an ending two books away.

Enjoyed this installment of the Eve Duncan series. It gave a lot of the back story to previous storylines especially explaining Eve's relationship with her mother. Iris Johansen is a master of suspense with one thrilling event following another.
