Simmons style of writing is not the quickest/easiest read, but the story is good. A sad ending to a beautiful life.

This is by far one of the most interesting books I have ever read!! Hard to put down. Well documented. Has pictures. Not written in the traditional way, but interviews by actual participants. Well done!! I have bought several of these books and given them all away!!

A true story and fast read. Once you start it, you can't put it down! A man is being persecuted for his religious belief, and he disguises himself as a priest and attempts to escape Spain for France - taking his fiance with him - only she does not recognize him! Don't read it when you're alone!!

A most interesting book - I could picture myself in the middle of the story! A young girl grows up on her Mom's homestead. Read it in two nights!

One of the best books I've ever read. This author was one of my Professors while at college - and he'd hold the class spellbound. His books do the same. Highly recommend it!
