Excellent book! Randy Singer writes a great mystery - keeps you guessing. I have read several of his books and have been really happy with them all.

Not even sure how I got this book originally. I'm not great at understanding military strategy and following maps so I spent a lot of time researching in my reading. But I was so moved by the characters...I love that there are no "bad" guys and "good" guys, but rather men who believed completely in what they were fighting for. I've since read the prequel Gods and Generals and the sequel The Last Full Measure. Loved them both.

I loved this book. I loved the rich character development. I loved the details of their personalities and the excellent visuals of the battlefields. Excellent conclusion to the trilogy.

This is a lovely retelling of the story of Ruth. Lott does a fabulous job of creating the story - and you forget that the author is a man!

This book was recommended to me by a friend. I had no interest in reading it but it kept coming to my mind. Finally I got ahold of it and it was an eye opener. As a child of divorce, this book helped me understand things about myself I didn't know. It also really solidified my desire to keep my own marriage healthy. Very insightful.
