Standard detective story with an up-to-date, multi-cultural private eye in present day London. Sam Spade meets Ali G. Lots of references to great cricket players and matches, if you're into that kind of thing (I wasn't but the book was still fun.)

A classic WWII thriller where the heroes are honorable German commandos in a small English town.

Not the best Reacher book, but still entertaining.

Great period detail. Great plot, plentiful violence and a hilarious version of Castro as opportunistic bumbler.

generic pot-boiler, simplistic plot, cliche writing

OK thriller. Hero is a half-Japanses half-American who lives in Japan and is a professional hit-man with a shadowy military past. Not nearly as good as Lee Child or Stephen Hunter novels.

Both a WWII novel and a modern mystery, Portugese setting is interesting. Great plot.
