I have not read previous sisterhood books, but I thoroughly enjoyed this one. It was action packed and kept me reading, wanting to see what happended next. The sisters are unique characters and I enjoyed getting to know them. Reading this book makes me want to start the series at the beginning, which I probably will do. I recommend this as a good read.

I have not read the other books in this series, so I cannot make a comparison, but I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I was a computer programmer (nerd), so that aspect of this book intrigued me. I was drawn into the story line and tried to guess "who done it". I read this book quickly because I found it hard to put down. I recommend this as a good read.

I love Dean Koontz and I love Odd Thomas. But, with that said, this book was my least favorite of the Odd Thomas series. For me it was a little too dark and macabre. Koontz usually introduces a warm fuzzy character here and there to keep a balance and that doesn't happen here. So, my blood runs cold the whole story. Keep a warm blanket and warm drink handy during your read and you'll do just fine. For those those tuned into that type of thing should find this story their favorite of the lot!

First, it must be stated that the author of this book is Tilly Bagshawe. She is writing a sequel to Sidney Sheldon's "Master of the Game". The saga of the infamous Blackwell family is continued with a new generation, Kate Blackwell's granddaughter Lexi Templeton and grandson Max Webster.
I found this story to be pleasantly entertaining, but it did not capture my attention to the point of not being able to set it aside for a day or two. The plot was a typical power struggle between two spoiled rich kids who scheme and connive, at all costs, to get control of the family company, Kruger-Brent. There is romance, intrigue, betrayal, hatred, sex, love and passion - all the ingredients to make for a riveting story, but it falls somewhat short of that mark.
While enjoyable, the story at times becomes too predictable and not convincing in the details. I did not find myself identifying with any of the characters or rooting for their success. Instead, I was thinking, "who would do that in real life?"
I would recommend this as a good, but not great read, especially if you've read previous books by either of these two authors.

Fern Michaels is a good, if not somewhat predictable, writer. The story does have some interesting twists and I enjoyed going along for the ride. The characters were likeable and you found yourself rooting for them throughout the story. There is a budding romance, suspense, evil, some violence, corruption, money, a lovable kid, and a lovable dog. Throw all that together and you have a pretty good story. This is not a deep inspiring story but a good cozy read. Sorry can't tell you how it all works out cause that would ruin it for you, but it's a good read - trust me.

This was my second favorite of the Brother Odd series. It was well written and fast paced. Dean Koontz is an excellent writer with a quick wit. I have come to love the character Odd Thomas and he does not disappoint in this this book!

If you love pirate stories you should enjoy this book. It has all the typical pirate adventures: hopes of finding treasure, battles between ships, storms at sea, captain making unpopular decisions to ultimately save ship and crew, and of course good ole swashbuckling.
As a Michael Crichton fan, this was not what I was expecting from his writing. It was too typical without his usual flair. I would rate it a 3 out of 5. I enjoyed it as a quick afternoon read, but was not spellbound. I would recommend it as a good read.

This is a wonderful love story. There is a sticker on the front, "warning: this book may break your heart." So, you know from the start it is going to be sad. However, the story is so full of love and beauty that it offsets the sad parts. The characters are well developed and the story line held my interest from start to finish. You will learn a few things about Charleston, the St. Marys River, famous artists and their paintings, and most importantly the struggles and challenges of dealing with cancer.
I enjoyed this story thoroughly and highly recommend this as a good read.
