If you like this series you will enjoy this book. She has more characters so it makes it interesting. And the plot is different so it also adds to the interest. But it is still Hannah and her cohorts against Mike trying to solve the mystery. And it is still basically a "Hallmark" type story. Her recipes are excellent.
These books often resemble a diary Hannah wrote - so that makes it good for some - a turnoff for others. If you like the series this is great - by book 8 you probably know if you like it or not. If it is your first one - it is better than some.

This is a recipe and craft book. It shows you how to use food just as you would other craft materials. The difference is you eat it when you are finished.

I am reading the Hannah Swensen series in order - this was alot better than the Lemon pie one. The plot is similar to all her books but it is fun reading them and seeing the characters develop like family - I would love to live in a small vacation town - but not in the frigid cold! If you like her basic plots this is a good one. But if you want something more detailed or with more plot/characters - you would be wise to switch to a different series. Her books are like the Hallmark movies made from them. This is the fifth - you either like them or you don't - and if you are starting out - this is a good one.

In the realm of psychological suspense, Thomas harris stands alone. exploring both the nature of human evil and the nerve-racking anatomy of a forensic investigation, Harris unleashes a frightening vision of the dark side of our well lighted world. In this extraordinary novel, which preceded the Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal, Harris introduced the unforgettable character Dr. Hannibal Lecter. And in it, Will Graham - the FBI man who hunted Lecter down - risks his sanity and his life to duel a killer called the Red Dragon.
