Interesting series well worth checking out. Only thing keeping it from being 5 stars is that some of the dialogue seems phony, but still a very entertaining story.

I'm hit and miss with Azzarello's work but I really like this series.

If you're a huge baseball fan like myself you'll love how this book ties philosophy and the sport together. They could easily do a 2nd volume and I'd be first in line to buy it.

Scary read but very engrossing, I couldn't put it down.

Good story and artwork, a nice addition to the Vertigo Crime line.

If you like Randy Rhoads you'll love this book. Lots of inside stories about his life growing up in LA, and playing for both Quiet Riot and Ozzy. A sad loss of a very talented musician.

Good series finale. A different type of story but well worth checking out, Carey is a fantastic writer.

Compelling read, if you like the music and the band you'll probably like the book.
But the stories about treating women like napkins to be used and thrown away is pretty disgusting. And the drug use is just mind-blowing, makes you wonder how the four of them are still alive. The sequel will probably have Vince talk about his buffet experiences.

Can't wait for this book to appear in the next story arc of the TV show.

I didn't like it as much as some of the other Vertigo fiction editions, but the artwork was good and the story was easy to follow.

I really wanted to like this book, but every time Taylor would start going into detail on one of his paranormal experiences, he goes off onto tangents about all sorts of things unrelated to the subject. He's obviously a bright guy and the subject material here is really interesting, it just doesn't flow well. It took me 2 weeks to finish because I could barely get thru a chapter at a time due to him getting sidetracked with bizarre rants. A good editor would have kept Taylor on task without losing sight of the subject matter, which happened far too often here.

Really good read, from his early days in Birmingham to his recent album with Black Sabbath and his cancer recovery. Plus all of the Ozzy and Dio drama in between.

Interesting read, lots of philosophical ideas tied back to themes from the book.

Great story and fantastic artwork. Hopefully it will lead you to other Avengers stories, especially with the new movie coming up.

Solid artwork and story, I liked the Shadowland arc.

If you're a Sandman fan this is a great read, and it really opens up your horizons to Neil's novels and other non-comic book works, all in a philosophy setting.

Quasi-historical fiction on a very unique individual. The line between fiction and reality seemed a bit blurry at times, but still an entertaining read.

Corey Taylor is obviously really intelligent and well-spoken, and he goes in-depth here on his rough childhood. I admire his talents as a musician.
That said, his writing style is incredibly frustrating. He comes up with valid ideas and concepts, but then goes off on weird tangents that make no sense. He really needs a solid editor to keep him on point instead of stream of consciousness ramblings that detract from the point he was trying to make.

Interesting read, traces the history of GnR from LA to superstardom, then his leaving the band in the mid 90s. My only complaint is that the book is full of constant drug use and promiscuity, does not paint him or anyone else in the band in a good light. I realize it's reality and the guy is an incredibly talented musician, just hard to believe he could make such great music while abusing every drug in existence.

Nice overlap of philosophy and the Force.
