Cute stories if you like to think that Sherlock Holmes would have developed a love interest in his sunset years.

I haven't liked any of Flagg's books since Fried Green Tomatoes, which I thought was brilliant. Can't Wait is much lighter fare, but it's an upper, with some good giggles. It's sweet and life affirming--an easy, fun read.

One of my favorite books ever. The TV series was excellent, as well. Unforgettable characters. I have re-read the book in recentyears.

Fascinating. Loved the movie, too.

Gripping. It's bad enough when your beloved husband dies unexpectedly, but when it surfaces that he led a double life, the unreality is beyond belief.

A little sappy, but it you like Nicholas Sparks...

If you like Dave Barry, much the same genre. And it you like to hike, it makes the book all the much funnier. Do you know how to react when encountering a black bear? What if it's a brown bear? Can you get close enough to tell the difference?

Not as good as Fried Green Tomatoes.

Well, I thought I was going to like this book since I was a French major and lived in France a long time ago. But I could not get through it. Maybe since the protagonist is a male in his 20s, I just couldn't relate.
