A fun glimpse into a world I never hope to inhabit, in the spirit of The Nanny Diaries. Thoroughly enjoyable, and I loved the ending.

A great story about the changing dynamics of relationships and how things never turn out the way we plan.

An easy read, and both a funny and sad glimpse into a world I hope to never inhabit. My biggest problem with the book was that I just had trouble getting into the characters. I really wanted to like Ivy, but she was so superficial that I just had trouble rooting for her at times. I wished she was just a little more likable.

I really wanted to like this book. I loved Midwives, and I had high hopes for this one being just as good. However, I had a hard time liking the main characters - I found both Leland and Carissa to be unethical and immoral, and just not all that compelling. The one relationship I did really like was that between Leland and his daughter. However, I just wasn't really able to root for Leland and Carissa in their dilemma. As a consequence, I really didn't enjoy this book all that much.

A good read. I liked this book much better than Prep, because although Hannah has her fair share of angst, she is definitely more likeable and realistic than Lee (main character in Prep). It was nice to see her progression throughout the years, and to see her shed (albeit ever so slowly) some of the self-doubt that was holding her back. I recommend this one.

I quickly got absorbed in this story and was caught up in finding out how the families involved grew and changed over time. I found it to be a very compelling story, and also very interesting in terms of learning how medical care, education, etc. change through time.

Another fantastic book by Jodi Picoult. She really has a way of drawing you into the characters and making you see all sides of the story. The twist at the end of this one was a little more predictable than some of her other books, but that didn't detract from the story. Highly recommended!

It took me a little while to get into this book, because Darcy starts out as the same narcissistic idiot that she was in Something Borrowed. After reading some other reviews, I had expected to like her more from the beginning, since this story is told from her point of view. Eventually, however, her good side starts to come out and I did really end up enjoying the book.

i thoroughly enjoyed this book. i've read everything by nicholas sparks and generally really like his novels. it was great to read about his childhood and gain some additional insight into his books. for me, the chapters about the trip were almost secondary to the childhood flashbacks, but he managed to interweave the two timelines so that it all made sense. highly recommend!
