I really enjoy this series from Julie Hyzy. Not a lot of blood and violence but some good mysteries just the same. I like the behind-the-scenes-at-the-White-House, too. I recommend!!

I've really enjoyed this series. The author seems to include the audience in the story. Not just telling the story but commenting as the story goes along. This is just a good, fun read!

I really like this book. It's a different style of writing where the author makes "aside" comments like she was talking to you. I just finished her third book and am on the lookout for the rest. definitely a fun read!

This series is terrific. Good stories, well researched. A very believable main character. Recommended by me!

I, too, am a bit ambivalent about the rating here. I was looking for a lightweight read after a couple of heavier novels. This is okay....but maybe too "light"? Too much family drama. A lot of soap opera relationships and not enough "bookshop", not enough "bay" as the title promised. A good book but....

This whole series of books is great. Ella Clah is a strong female character who's trying to find the line between modern and traditional. It's a dangerous world when trying to protect her family and her people.

I really enjoyed this book. It was recommended by a friend and I finally got around to it. You wouldn't think that anything story about archaeology would be described as exciting or fast-paced. This one is. A good mystery. Good characters. Great location. Now I can recommend it to you!

This is a good, solid little cozy series. Our character, Charlotte, sticks her nose in some pretty scary places but it's good reading all around.

the book is okaaaay but not one of the best of the cozy genre

I really enjoyed this book. I can't believe it's taken me so long to find this author. Her descriptions of various national parks seem to be well-researched. This one? Wow, you can just feel the heat and humidity. Thumbs up!!

I liked it. Simple and non-violent. But I think this is the last of the Turing Hopper stories. Hate to see "her" go.

I've really enjoyed this series. This book seems to be set within some very realistic possibilities. Earthquake fault lines under a big city. Cover-ups by city officials. this one is one my list as "a good read". nothing fancy, just a good solid story. Recommended by me!

it's an okay read but I need a little more "meat" to the story.

Gladdy Gold is such a fun character. I have such a clear view of these senior crime-fighters. Gladdy to the rescue!

Gladdy Gold is a hoot. These stories are just plain fun.

I really liked this book, this series, this character. I've read the first two, have ordered the next 3 or 4. Gladdy Gold is a hoot! I want to be that feisty. I have a great picture of her, uh, mature gang of ladies on a stake-out or chasing the bad guys. This is a good FUN read!

This is such a great series. A strong female character and relevant stories. I've learned so much about native traditions and beliefs from Ella Clah. Recommended!

I really liked this one. There seemed to be a good solid plot line and, even though I knew where it was headed, I still came away thinking "this is right" about the ending. Recommended!

Jan Karon's Mitford series and the Father Tim series are so warm and so friendly. So familiar. Highly recommended!!
