Zahn has developed an interesting cast of characters for a plot revolving around earth and earth colonies in a power struggle involving entities called angles that have influenced the politics of one sector versus the original group of colonies that are driven by the power of money and the bottom line.

Book 2 of 2 concludes the Phaestor attempt to take over the galaxy. A vampire war queen and her suitor set their plan in motion. Excellent follow on to book 1 (Under the Eye of God).

Kicks the saga up to the next level. The author continues the expansion of the story focusing on what the Chtorr human relationship may end up as. The book is an excellent read.

The 4th book in the series is by far the best one to date. The author has elevated the series to a new level with this volume. Hopefully, he will finish and have published books 5-7 or at least consolidate the last three planned into a final volume. The series is too good to die with book 4.

Excellent 1st book in a 5 book series. Author really knows how to make submarine operations realistic.

This is the Final(?) book in the series. The author has been able to introduce new technology in every book in the series. This book introduces a supersonic torpedo that was developed by the Russians and also a new type of underwater fighter that can travel at 100 knots carried by an Ohio class submarine converted from the original Boomer configuration. I found the entire series great reading for airline travel(easy, quick reads that always have something exciting happening)

Totally different SciFi focus area than his Chtorr series. Book 1 of 2 short series. Phaestor class of vampires geneticaly engineered by man are being challenged by humans, androids and bioforms. Fast paced and good read
