Very funny book by the real-life Alice of Arlo Guthrie's "Alice Restaurant."

A memoir of the Hollywood adventures of writers John Gregory Dunne and his wife Joan Didion as they develop the screenplay for the film "Up Close and Personal" (starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Robert Redford). This book makes a nice companion to Didion's "The Year of Magical Thinking" in which she chronicles her grief after Dunne's death in 2003.

This is the French edition of Ellis's "The Informers," which for some reason has been retitled "Zombies" for publication in France.
