This book was a little silly, and I thought it wasn't going to be one of my favorites. However, the hero and his dog were so loveable, and made me laugh so much that I changed my mind. So far I've loved every Heyer book that I have read and this one is no exception.

I love Richard Peck. Every one of his books that I read seems funnier and more brilliant than the last, and Here lies the Librarian was no exception. His books make me laugh out loud, and as a huge bonus both of my parents (in their 60's) enjoyed it as well. I highly recommend this book and author!

This book was a fun departure from most of Heyer's books that I like--it takes place largely in France in the mid-18th century. The main character, Leonie, is a engaging heroine and fun to read about. The hero's brother, Rupert, made me laugh and kept the pace of the novel moving with his commentary. I enjoyed the book.
