This is an author I am unfamiliar with, but it was a refreshing, action filled vampire love story that was just the right level of dark-horror and romance. Michelle Rowen has did a fantasic job, and anxiously await getting the other books in this series. I think I'll have to add her to my list of favortie arthurs, right up there with Charlaine Harris, MaryJanice Davidson and Laurell Hamilton. Way to go, Michelle!

I was pleasantly surprised by this book! I have never read Kerrelyn Sparks, but I have read many vampire authors. I can say, I will add Ms. Sparks to my list of favorite authors after this book. I like the ability of teleportation that the vampires in this story have. It has a good amount of romance, not too gorey violent. It has it's good vamps, and it's bad vamps. It also has a level of humor, such as Roman's fang falling out after biting a test doll to simulate biting a real human and drinking blood. I also like that it has a level of religion. Roman used to be a monk before he is turned over five hundred years ago. He thinks God has abandoned him, and it really bothers him. I have to say, this is a great book, and an excellent story!

This was a fabulous book! I was very pleasantly surpised. I wanted to take some time away from my normal vamp/were paranormal romances, and this was just what I was looking. Wish I could bake wishes into my dishes!!! Give it a chance, you'll love it!
