Active Liberty: Interpreting Our Democratic Constitution
Review Date: 8/8/2010

I thought this audiobook was very informative in terms of the structure of the courts and some ideas about what is Liberty.
Highly relevant and thoughtful, its by one of the supreme court justices. If you are interested in Law, History, and/or Politics would highly recommend this

Comics were different several decades before, the excitement of the plot carried more than the visual 'flashy' images.
These old shows really captured a bigger audience. This CD caries both stories about Superman and Batman and
they work together. Fun

Complex Journey Back in Time to Roman Times. I really gained a sense of the complexity and leadership of Caesar through this writing. I thoroughly recommend for those interested in history.

A Million Miles in a Thousand Years: What I Learned While Editing My Life

How the author uses story to engage with 'life'. He talks about his story and the story of others. Its an accessible and thoughtful book with lots of insights that are both engaging and real. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

A Perfect Union: Dolley Madison and the Creation of the American Nation
Review Date: 6/27/2010

This book interested me for several reasons among others. How did women in early america influence politics (to what they had available to them). The role of America trying to establish itself on the international stage with the ideas of what a 'republic' was.
How politics was shaped and played was unique to a time of great change and hope in the nation. Surprising things, like it was sometimes anticipated that people might read your personal mail and what a great symbol George Washington was to the nation.

Even reading the first couple of chapters of this book was already very powerful.

The connection of Lolita its meaning and connecting to these women's experience was strong and compelling. (aside) I also did not realize that Azar Nafisi was at U of Oklahoma for part of her degree.

An amazing adventure, and true life story.
