Handler is funny as always as she recalls stories from throughout her life that shaped who she has become today.

This book is thrilling as you switch between the narrative of husband and wife as they both work to save each other's lives by fighting to win a case against the other. Each time one gets the leg up, you celebrate, but then realize it means disaster for the other.

This book is eye-opening as it shows a world filled with fear and paranoia. It is especially interesting to read all of this from a child's perspective as he tries to understand what is going on. Heartbreaking, heartwarming, and chilling.

This book was awesome! There is never a dull moment throughout the entire book. Normally it is a chore for me to start a book as the buildup of the story and construction of the world can be boring. However, with this book, I was hooked after the first page and never lost interest.
Dresden is a wizard that you can actually relate to. Other than using magic, he is a normal guy trying to do the best he can. You immediately root for him and that only builds as the odds stack up against him.
This idea is also really awesome and pretty unique. It takes classic noir and mystery and mixes it with fantasy and magic. I finally found a new series to get excited about!
