Okay, I'll confess, I love most of the sappy movies on Hallmark Channel. So when I heard they had created a series based on Debbie Macomber's series "Cedar Cove" starring Andie MacDowell, I just had to read the books. It took me no time to get "into" the book. The characters and their struggles all seem so real. Her writing so simple and believable. I'm looking forward to the next installment!

I really enjoyed Hidden in Plain Sight. At first it was difficult for me to get into the book, but after we started going through the virtues Peter lists in 2 Peter 1:1-9, one by one, I was hooked. Giving each virtue prayerful thought, made each one much clearer to me, especially in light of his real life narratives that he shares.

Even though my kids are now older, they still enjoyed following Jotham on his hair-raising adventure. A wonderful Advent activity!

I received this book as a gift and almost every devotion that I read was an uplifting message to me. It also gave me a glimpse of several books I'd like to read in the future.

I read this book for our Mother Daughter Book Club. Usually I find the books are much better than the movies, not in this case. The book read just like the movie, which figures since it was written after either the screenplay or the movie. I'd rather invest time in watching the movie.
