"The touch of human hands is the best medicine...Within the examining room, Dr. Ellie Winter, head of the birth defects clinic, cares for frightened mothers and damaged children. In her prime professionally, and with the right man, sexually, she worries that she's still in love with her ex. Inside the offices, Dr. Adrian Winter, the epitome of the successful surgeon, is caught in a power struggle with a slick new administrator and a public relations sexpot- and is just slightly bored with his new beautiful young wife. Along the hospital corridors, Dr, Bobby Truman, the hospital's first black chief resident, is desired by every women- but his own wife is under the spell of a religious fanatic- And in the bedroom, David Powell, the gentle, funny man every woman wants, yearns for only one, older woman..." Pretty entertaining....basically anything that could ever happen at an airport/flight, happens in this 24 hr period. Similar to Hotel Babylon.

Interesting and thought provoking...not typical chic-lit. I didn't enjoy it at first, too much self-searching, but it grew on me and I ended up really liking it!

"Suspense meets romance meets zany comedy in Jane Heller's hard-hitting and hilarious debut novel about love and survival in the '90s. Alison Waxman Koff is a true heroine for our times as she scrambles to keep in step with a changing world and to find love with a man who might just turn out to be Prince Charming after all."

"It's a big, fat, sassy, sexy, action-filled story that embodies just about every ingredient for best-sellerdom--glamor, sex, high-fashion, crime...in a story that never pauses for breath"

Fun, Hollywood book. The story of a smart girl trying to date seriously for the first time. The problem is, she lives and works in Los Angeles. And for a non-bimbo in a town tht thoroughly celebrates bimbosity, it was never going to be easy.
