This is a cooperative game in a book with ideas to expand upon the board game (included inside) such as a mini unit and bibliography. The New World Encounter game simulates Columbus's journey from Palos, Spain to San Salvador and back again. A large pull out gameboard, cards, ship playing pieces, and a spinner are all included. The gameboard extension activities teach geography, directional skills, Columbus facts, and more. The mini-unit explores language arts, social studies, and math. For grades 2 though 5.
