This is a classic children's book.

This is a wonderful story for children of all ages, which is the reason it is on the Kumon Recommended Reading List. That is also the reason that copies are hard to find, since nobody ever seems to give it up willingly! If you are lucky enough to find a copy, I am sure you will treasure it forever!

This was not my favorite cozy mystery. It started slowly and never did reach the suspense level I prefer.

The plot and writing are done effectively enough to get you involved with the main characters. I'm sorry to say that was the case. If you are like me and read science fiction to get away from the depressing world around us, you will not want to read this book. I was tempted to write the author and ask him to pay me back for the hours I lost reading it!

This is the first book in a series about the town of Visitation in Welcome County, North Carolina. Visitation seems like a strange little town at first, but the longer you're there, the stranger it becomes. Hardly anyone is what they seem; this keeps it from being boring, but makes it hard to know when it is OK to trust!
