THIS BOOK WAS LONG, BUT I NEVER LOST INTEREST FOR A MOMENT! THE AUTHOR DID A THOROUGH JOB OF RESEARCHING WHATEVER WAS AVAILABLE, THEN WOVE IT INTO A WONDERFUL ACCOUNT, BRING THE CHARACTERS TO LIFE!

I read this book a number of years ago and still remember how much I loved the insight that the author brought to this period in American history. The intimate look into Lincoln and his wife separately, and then into their relationship was beautiful and revealing. It was like the proverbial "fly on the wall", watching these two respond and interact with the joys and intense difficulties that came their way. I highly recommend this book!

This book is a high quality and beautiful book! The text is in a kid-friendly format with God's real story, and the illustrations superior and charming. It's perfect for grandparents, parents, grandkids as a vital component to a traditional Christmas celebration.
