I love the whole Crochenit idea. I do both knitting and crocheting. I like the look of knitting, but I prefer crocheting. This crochenit book is great, shows you stitches that look much like knitting, but using a double ended crochet hook. This book only shows you how to do different stitches, only two actual patterns (hat and hooded blanket). But if you can make your own patterns or only doing scarfs or afghans, this book is all you need. I found the hooks at JoAnns, they are called circular crochet hooks, or double ended crochet hooks for smaller projects.

I loved this book, could not put it down, kept me guessing the whole time, and was actually surprised at the end. It was my first Randy Singer but will not be my last. I look forward to reading them all.

I have spent years reading all the old favorites, Sandford, Patterson, Kellerman, Coben, Connelly, etc. I had not read Mariah Stewart because I though she wrote "Romance" books and I like thrillers! Well let me say if you like suspense and thrillers you will love Mariah. There may be a slight romantic angle but they have far more suspense than my old favorites. Her books are great and I will be reading all of them I can find.

The Knitter's Handy Book of Sweater Patterns : Basic Designs in Multiple Sizes Gauges
Review Date: 11/22/2009

This is the best pattern book I have ever purchased. Allows to you create your own sweater patterns. You can pick the style you want, with the yarn you want. Probably not good for an new knitter, but if you like to alter and adjust your patterns, this helps do it with ease. Show many styles of sweaters with instructions from 36" bust to 54" with you choice of yarn. (You pick 3 sts per inch to 7 sts per inch.) It is great I would never trade it, however if you are ordering something from my bookshelf I will send you a copy of a few pages. Just let me know a little about what you want to knit so I can send the right pages.
