This isn't your typical read from beginning to end book. For me it started out as a "I'm having a bad day" book. I would look through it to find something to cheer me up. Then I realized that it is a great inspiration book. I love to journal but often have a hard time figuring out what to write about. This book was great for jogging old memories, or just making me think about something that I enjoy. Not everything listed is something I enjoy but there were certainly enough that I found many great ideas, memories and emotions in this book.

If you are looking for a reason to slow down your life, simplify and find what's important, this book can point you in the right direction. Morrie states simple truths from a unique perspective. If you take the time to absorb what he is saying it's hard not to be affected.

This is a great way to get a glimpse at your true self. Using techniques and practices from all over the world and throughout the ages, this book helps you hold up a mirror to yourself. You can take it as a fun little exercise or a daily quest. I found it enjoyable, enlightening and helpful in pinpointing areas of myself that I would like to work on and change.
