I listen to this CD, as well as others by Pema Chodron, as I prepare to go to bed. Listening to Ms. Chodron speak and listening to what she has to say, has a way of restoring the "self," undoing the day's chaos, and hopefully retrains or points me towards being more mindful. I have found this CD quite useful!

I ordered this book sight-unseen, just given the title. I was expecting something that involved actual crocheted Irish lace motifs or perhaps crocheted variations on Celtic knots, but this was not the case.
This would be the ideal booklet for someone with zero knowledge of anything remotely Celtic.

A timely autobiography regarding Carolyn Jessop's upbringing and eventual departure from plural marriage and the FLDS community. This book is timely in the sense that in 2006 arrest and 2007 trial of Warren Jeffs, former leader of the Fundamentalist Church of Latter Day Saints.
It's an engrossing, compelling read.
Fans of "Big Love" would enjoy this book to get their "fix" on a similar family with a similar dynamic as what is on that t.v. show.

This book re-hashes the comedic bits Ron does in his standup shows on Comedy Central, and give a lot more stories and back stories to what's brought him some measure of celebrity status. It's a good, quick, enjoyable read; it's written with the same flow from one story to the next, as if he's right there, doing his stand up. It's illustrated by a friend of his, too.

Life is far more interesting than any work of fiction, and Frank "The Irishman" delivers, even if after his death it had been proven he didn't shoot Jimmy Hoffa. Fascinating read, nonetheless!

An inspiration and a modern day fairy tale, reminiscent of Grace Kelly.

Inspirational and profound poetry. Direct and original, and at times heartbreakingly honest perspectives of a young boy older than his years. A great legacy of love he's left behind.

Story of a Jewish woman who goes into hiding as a Jew and emerges in Germany with doctored papers, who ends up marrying a Nazi officer (who knew she was Jewish); yet she lived every day, fearing for her life. Compelling read.

I highly recommend all of the books Jean P. Sasson has written in her Princess trilogy! It gives a fairly authentic perspective of what life is like for women in Saudi Arabia.

I never thought too much about reading as a form of freedom until I read this book. A compelling read, which makes me wonder how much has changed or remained the same in Iran since the author's departure in the 1990s.

Very good, direct book on how to understand and deal with/live with a relative/mother with BPD.
