In the Kiosk, you can use PayPal, your credit or debit card, or PBS Money to purchase anything in the Kiosk or PBS Market.
- You are able to choose your method of payment after putting items into your Cart and then going to the Cart page and choosing from among the "Checkout" options.
Please note that e-checks are not accepted; so your PayPal account would need to be funded by debit or credit card. We have had too much fraud with e-checks, and had to stop accepting them in December 2007.
You can also use Visa/Mastercard gift cards under some circumstances. Our financial processor may reject the gift card for reasons including:
- If the name/address information submitted with the purchase does not match the info associated with the gift card purchase. (This can even be a simple mismatch of Nickname or initials. The info must match exactly.)
- If the gift card is debit-only it can't be used online because a PIN is required (this is a rare issue).
- Some gift cards need to be registered with the issuing bank in order to be used card online (also rare).
If you want to send in a money order/check for a Kiosk purchase by snail mail, address it to:

If you send in a check or money order by mail, please be sure to include:
- your full name (in the form that you used to register at PBS)
- a notation of what the payment is for (Standard Membership or Limited Membership, Book credits, PBS Money, Box-O-Books, Box-O-Books, PBS Store item, etc).
You should allow 10 business days for your mail-in payment to be processed.
Please note: Currently, Market orders cannot be paid for with mail-in payments. Only online payments are acceptable for Market orders.
- However, you can use PBS Money to purchase in the Market - to do this, first purchase PBS Money with a mail-in payment, and when the PBS Money has been credited to your account you can purchase the Market book online, choosing "Checkout with PBS Money" on the Cart.
