USPS supports the existence of PBS by providing less-than-cost Media mail to send books. Cheating the USPS out of the meager fee they charge for mailing books is biting the hand that feeds us!
It is a felony, punishable by fine and/or imprisonment, to defraud the USPS. It is a federal felony for anyone to engage in mail fraud (18 U.S.C. §§ 1341, 1343, 1029). Punishment for these types of felonies can range as high as 15 years' imprisonment. --source
We would not want any of our members to commit a felony in conjunction with their membership in PBS. DO NOT reuse uncanceled stamps!
