Love To Read? Get Your Hands On Books, Practically For Free
ABC 15.com/Pheonix (TV) - 12/4/2008 by Quita Jackson
You probably already know by now that I love reading. I also love bargains and I found a website that allows me to enjoy both.
It’s called Paperbackswap.com, and the site lets you swap your books with other people.
First, you need to register with a valid e-mail and mailing address. Then, just upload the books you’d like to trade and you’re ready to start swapping.
Swapping on this site is done through credits. For example, you get two credits when you upload your first ten books, and you can use those two credits to get two books. You also get credits when others get your books, so one credit for every book you swap.
You can also buy credits. You’ll pay $10.35 to get three credits. The site even has a wrapper you can print to mail your book in. There are more than two million books on the site so chances are you’ll be able to find the one you’ve been dying to read.
If your book isn’t available, you can add it to your Wish List and be notified when it is on hand. All you need to do once you find the book you’ve been looking for is click on “Order This Book” and wait for it to come in the mail. Once you get the book, it’s yours to keep or re-swap.
This site is great for bookworms on a budget.
