Some of the zombies have become extremely violent against humans. Following the attack the zombies turn into goo. Because Pryce and the Old Ones are involved, Vicky knows she is the only one to get to the bottom of the mutation in the zombie plague. Vicky and her family make strides at healing long held hurts and anger. She and Kane draw closer and she and Butterfly continue their snarkfest. She also has to stay ahead of the Mistress of the Hunt to stay alive. Hopefully there will be more novels in this series. The world and characters still have much to give to us.
