This is the best book for anyone new to vegetarianism, considering vegetarianism or just wants to learn more because they know a vegetarian. It provides a good guide to becoming vegetarian in a healthy way -- which is more than just "cut out the meat" and viola, you are vegetarian! It explains about nutrition in a clear, understandable way, and things to consider when switching to a vegetarian diet. It is a good place to start and I recommend this book to anyone starting on the path of vegetarianism!
