Okay read with an action based plot. More gruesome than the last book which I didn't care for.
The setting is still San Diego but like the other it could as easily be anywhere.
The hero is Harry Bolt, introduced in the last book. Now healed and hale [he was still on crutches and marginally suicidal in the last book] he is now a partner in the security company. The heroine is Ellen Palmer aka Eve, a jazz singer that Harry has been obsessing over. She is beaten down and on the run from a powerful and vicious man and she needs help...
Like the last book, the book contains multiple kidnappings, dead bodies, rescues in the nick of time, and [of course] lots of bunny sex.
Protectors
1. Into the Crossfire
2. Hotter Than Wildfire
3. Nightfire (forthcoming)
