* * * ½*. Mystery. A disgraced journalist is hired by a millionare to investigate the 40-year old case regarding his niece's murder/disappearance.

The eponymous character, although NOT the main character in the novel, is captivating nonetheless. Flawed, intelligent, lonely, tough. My only gripe (small one) is the multiple 'endings' the book has. All in all, a definite page turner.
