I'm a really big fan of books with well-crafted characters ... which is why I could not give this book more than 2 stars!!

Unless we find out in a later book in the series that the main character suffers from bipolar disorder, then I'd have to say that this author has absolutely NO IDEA how women think or act!!

I understand that the author was trying to write a character who is strong-willed and independant. What we got was a whiny individual who freaks out at every kind word or offer of help or sympathy. This is not likeable or realistic.

I'll give the second book in the series a try .... but if the hysteria isn't toned down, I won't be inviting book #3 to my shelf ....
