A total surprise! I received this book free from Harlequin Teen Panel, and I wasn't all that into the idea of a girl moving to Japan, magic artwork, etc.
Well, color me shocked! It was FANTASTIC! I read this book in one afternoon. It drew me in & wouldn't let go. I immediately felt drawn to Katie and Tomohiro, and cheered for them throughout.
A very unassuming book--humble & Japanese to be sure, but packing a long-term wallop! I am still thinking about it's characters and settings and plot-developments.
Can't wait for book 2, "Rain" to be released next summer! Kudos, Amanda Sun, it was a delightful read!
