Professional baseball player Gavin Scott is desperate. After an argument left them not talking to each other for a month, his wife told him she wants a divorce. He's staying with a friend when he is approached by some of his team members about joining their secret book club. They read romance novels in order to understand what women want. Gavin is very leery about this approach to his relationship with Thea; but will try anything to get his wife and daughters back in his life.
Both Gavin and Thea have contributed to the problems in their marriage. Gavin uses the information that he learns by reading a regency romance to help guide him into winning his wife back. Thea also realizes that she shoulders some of the blame. Her trust issues have driven a wedge between them since the beginning of their marriage.
I loved this book!!! Not only do we have a great plot and characters that you can root for; but we also have excerpts from "Courting the Countess", the regency romance that the guys are reading. There are some laugh-out-loud moments in this book. I couldn't put it down and can't wait for the next book in the series. My rating: 5 Stars.
