This series is written in a very vague and stark manner, not a lot of details and can be hard to follow the "voice" of the person at times.
College students being attacked and seemingly no reason for it, digging deep to find the link is a very dark challenge for Erik and the team.
New happenings on the personal fronts of characters keep it moving forward.
