A Broken Kind of Beautiful by Katie Ganshert
To look at Ivy Clark's life one would think that she has it all. That assumption would be wrong, very wrong. She felt more like an empty shell, nothing beyond the beautiful model. An unwanted love child from an affair. And no matter how many men want, and take her body, the hole inside her where her father rejected her just won't fill up.
Davis Knight was on his way to fame and fortune in New York City as a fashion photographer. Something happened that snapped him out of it and brought him back to the small town of Greenbrier, South Carolina. Where he put his camera down, for good. Or so he thought. Seems that God had other plans for him.
I just loved this story, a real page turner. Ivy didn't know that only one Father could fill that hole and Davis needed to help Ivy without falling back into her world. The other characters are important as well, overcoming what life threw at them to become stronger. I've read and enjoyed all three books by this author. The emotions from her characters are so real...you may want to keep tissues nearby.
