I really enjoyed it. Very nice to read about the highlands and their way of life back then. Very informative book. Great for kids and adults!
Also,it is great to read about Laura Ingalls Wilder's ancestors. Fascinating indeed. You can see where Laura got her fiestiness, charm and energy.

Six year old Martha , Laura Ingalls Wilder's great Grandmother is growing up as a daughter of a Laird in SCotland. She does not understand why she can not go to school with her brothers. She has a very prim and proper sister Grisie who is 14 that she tries to compete with. Martha is a very free spirit is always getting into some trouble by not obeying the rules.
